Zelgor Games — Real-Time Character Animation
Project Overview
Iverson Design worked with Zelgor Games to bring their game characters to life using Adobe Character Animator, creating expressive, dynamic sequences suitable for cutscenes, marketing materials and social media content. This real-time animation workflow allowed for faster production while retaining humor, personality and brand consistency across platforms.
Creative Approach
Character Rigging & Real-Time Performance:
Rigged character features, heads, eyes, mouths, limbs, for responsive expressions, gestures and lip-syncing.
Used webcam-based tracking for live head movements, blinks and voice capture, ensuring natural, intuitive performances.
Physics & Secondary Motion:
Added built-in physics simulations for realistic bounce and sway.
Enhanced Ziggy the Noob’s headband and antennae and the Starfish character’s tentacles, making motion smooth and organic.
Post-Production & Compositing:
Exported sequences into After Effects for refined edits, effects and seamless loops.
Enhanced audio in Audition for crisp synchronization and professional sound design.
